| Wow, talk about awkward....there was this weird conversation with Nome's sn that really kinda creeped me out:
writingrider: over here baby
MinisterBoru: .......that's just wrong
writingrider: LOL
writingrider: schnookums!
writingrider: I love you so so so so much!!
writingrider: I want to squeeze you and love you and put you in a little cage!
MinisterBoru: stop
MinisterBoru: right now
writingrider: hmm
writingrider: are you supposed to go walk around in your hot, tight security shirt?
I can't even put the rest on here....needless to say I was quite confused......I wonder what Natalie will say? *sigh* I'm tired of having women fight over me! | | |
| all the other girls here are stars—you are the Northern Lights
they try to shine in through your curtains—you’re too close and too bright
they try and they try but everything that they do
is the ghost of a trace of a pale imitation of you

| Wow, it's been forever since I've updated! I'm sitting here at my internship on Capitol Hill! hehe...cool stuff. Well, sometimes.....other times it's just insanely boring. I work for a Congressman from Indiana; my home state. That part's cool; Hoosiers are good folk generally. Even the consituents that call and are obnoxious/rude/wacko, I'm certain are good peopel....we just have severely different views on things sometimes. Guess that's part of living in America. I think I'll write my own satire of it sometime. Anyway, I mostly do office stuff, but every now and then I get to give tours of the Capitol building itself; now that is really cool! I also get to go to various seminars and luncheons, as well as occasionally procure the free ticket or special tour (the latter two things I get to share with my girlfriend, which she also enjoys ) So, yes, there are some perks to working in government, and I'm enjoying them...but the perks aren't so great that I would endure this kind of life as a career : commuting every day for a 3/3.5 hr round trip, only to sit in an office reading legislation that no one comprehends; sleeping 5hrs or less a night because life demands it; constantly having to think "political" (in modern vernacular that is--not Aristotolean political, which is how everyone OUGHT to think); watching people be the most fake and shameless creatures imaginable.......yeah, not my idea of something to take joy in doing. 'Course, I'm just being cynical right now; but that doesn't negate ALL of what I just said. Anyway, I gotta see if they have any work for me to do. Joy! | | |
| Well, in about 48hrs I will be on my way to Russia! :) I can't wait! And never fear, I will post something on here about it when I get back. In the meantime, be well. | | |
